The Role 

Dates: August 18, 2025 - September 7, 2025

Must be available to work a one-week period; specific dates will be assigned within this timeframe.

Multiple positions available

 

We’re seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to support fan-facing engagement efforts during the US Open. As an embedded member of the USTA DEI team, you’ll serve as a visible representative of the brand, ensuring an inclusive, welcoming, and smooth experience for all attendees. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a passion for DEI, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. 

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support Fan Week activations, including working with vendors and outside talent.
  • Support HBCU Live, Open Pride, Champions of Equality,  AAPI, and Latine activations.
  • Support management of coin tossers, both pre-event and on site, for DEI related events, including creating and managing schedules and communication.
  • Support Adaptive and Military activations, including working with athletes and on court support.
  • Support and staff the DEI guest booth experience.
  • This role includes interacting with staff, guests, and the general public.

 

Who You Are 

  • Passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) and a commitment to creating inclusive, welcoming experiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules, coordinate talent, and oversee event logistics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with athletes, guests, talent, and the public
  • Proven ability to problem-solve in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • Experience supporting live events or community programming is preferred
  • A team player with a flexible and proactive attitude
